Goals of the Course
This course is an interdisciplinary introduction to the Social Sciences, with a focus on Economics and Business. The objective of this course is to help students explore their interests in social sciences. Students will present their research interests and articles to build their knowledge of past and current economic and business issues.

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
1. Presentations (50%): Students will present twice per semester. The frequency may change depending on the number of students. They will start by presenting their research interests. For the second presentation, they may present any kind of research plan that they are interested. For the second presentation, they may present an article related to their research interests.
2. Discussant (20%): One student will be assigned as a discussant to each presentation to lead a discussion. They may suggest any kind of comments on the presentation.
3. Class Participation (15%)
4. Class Attendance (15%): If a student needs to be excused from the class, he/she must notify the instructor in person or by email before the class. Proof, such as a doctor’s note is required from the second lecture.
