授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | The objective of this course is to help students explore their interests in economics and business. The seminar intends to develop analytical thinking of the students through the in-class discussions and presentations on various economic issues. Students will encounter wide spectrum of economic issues, understand the basic concepts of statistics, and learn how to plot academic research. |

Deliver their own interests on economic/business issues. 3. Engage activity in the discussion of each presentation and teack works. 4. Analyze the current issue on economic and business agenda. |

Introduction of Syllabus, class materials, grading scheme, and assignment of the presentation schedule 2. Microeconomic articles 1 3. Microeconomic articles 2 4. Macroeconomic articles 1 5. Macroeconomic articles 2 6. International Economics articles 1 7. International Economics articles 2 8. Student Presentation on any of the articles from the class 9. Economic Development articles 1 10. Economic Development articles 2 11. International Business articles 1 12. International Business articles 2 13. Other Special Topics related to Economics or Business 1 14. Other Special Topics related to Economics or Business 1 15. Student Presentation on any of the articles from the class and closing remarks |

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | 1. Presentations (50%): Students will present twice per semester. The frequency may change depending on the number of students. They will present on any of the articles or topics that were dealt during the class. Students are encouraged to conduct team presentation. Team presentation may be necessary depending on the size of the class. 2. Discussant (20%): One student (or a group of students in case of team presentation) will be assigned as a discussant to each presentation to lead a discussion. They may suggest any kind of comments on the presentation. 3. Class Participation (15%) 4. Class Attendance (15%): If a student needs to be excused from the class, he/she must notify the instructor in person or by email before the class. Proof, such as a doctor’s note is required from the second lecture. |
