Goals of the Course | | | The course will introduce the fundamentals of analytical chemistry and mainly focuses on classical but still widely used wet chemical methods, combined with an overview of the instrumental techniques used in contemporary chemical analysis. |

Objectives of the Course | | | Students taking the course will learn to calculate acid/base, precipitation and redox chemical equilibria as also aquire skills required for sample preparation and purification in the first part of the course. In the second part of the course students will learn about instrumental analytical methods like vibrational spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. This will help them to understand these techniques, underlying limitations and benefits required for their future work in a research laboratory. |
