For preparation of undergraduate seminar in 4th grade, this course enhances the development of students’ skill in reading texts written in English and giving oral presentation.

The goals of this course are
-to read and understand mathematical statements precisely,
- to develop problem-solving skills,
- to get used to mathematics in English,
- to get used to present at the seminar.

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan

テキストを指定し，自分のちからで精読する訓練をします．
詳細の内容はクラスにより異なりますが，
基本的な演習の流れは前週に発表の担当箇所を数名に指名し，
次週に発表してもらいます．
状況に合わせて関連するトピックの基礎的なレポート問題を課す場合があります．

Students have the opportunity to give presentations in English or in Japanese.
発表は英語でも日本語でも、どちらでもいいです。

履修条件
Course Prerequisites

2年生までに扱う項目全て, 特に微積分・線形代数・集合と位相・複素関数論を習熟していること.

このクラスは単独での履修ではなく、かならず数学演習Xと併せて履修登録してください。3年生以上対象科目。
