授業の目的　【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN)

海洋は地球表面の7割を占めるにも関わらず、未解明の課題が数多く残された、地球最後のフロンティア領域となっている。これは、海洋観測の実現が非常に困難で、かつ観測手段が限られていることが、原因となっている。
本フィールドセミナーでは、海洋観測船への乗船実習を通じて初等的な海洋観測を実現し、海洋環境や海洋観測法の現状を、実体験を通じて理解する。具体的には、三重大学生物資源学部の練習船「勢水丸」に乗船して、伊勢湾・三河湾を中心とした海域で、自らの手で観測やサンプリングを行い、分析やデータ解析を行う。
さらに実習報告会における議論を通じて、得られたデータに関する解析能力を身につける。

今年度は、（コロナの影響で）練習船「勢水丸」が利用できないため、京都大学生態学研究センターの調査船「はす」に乗船して、琵琶湖の観測を行う予定です。

授業の目的　【英語】
Goals of the Course

Although the ocean covers more than 70 percent of the surface of our planet, there remain a number of unresolved issues. The ocean is, as it were, the earth's last frontier. This is due to the difficulty in conducting oceanographic observations and the lack of oceanographic observation methods and analytical techniques. In this field seminar, students can experience basic ocean observation through practical training on board the vessel and learn about the current state of the coastal and marine environment and methods for ocean observation. The students will board the training/research vessel Seisui-maru, Faculty of Bioresources, Mie University, and perform observations and sampling of seawater on their own for measurement and data analysis. The main observation areas for the training are Ise Bay and Mikawa Bay. After the training, a session for presenting the research results will be held. Students will improve their ability to analyze the obtained data through the discussions with others.

This year, the training/research vessel Seisui-maru will not be available (due to the influence of COVID-19), so we plan to board the research vessel Hasu, Center for Ecological Research, Kyoto University, to observe Lake Biwa.

１）現業観測のプロトコルに則した海洋（湖沼）観測・分析が行えるようになる。

２）観測を通じて琵琶湖の湖沼環境の実態を把握できる。

３）練習船内での集団生活および陸上での集団作業を通して、協調性を養える。

１）You will be able to observe and analyze the ocean or lakes according to the real-ocean observation protocol.

２）You can learn about the current status of the lake environment of Lake Biwa.

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan

１）9月初旬に集中形式で、日・祝日を除く全5日程度（うち乗船観測は1日）の実習を行う。
２）実習項目は、海洋（湖沼）化学（CTD観測、栄養塩、溶存酸素、クロロフィルなど）観測が中心で、履修者は班分けをして船上の作業を分担する。
３）初日午前は担当教員による講義を受講し、観測機材等の準備を行う。
４）第2、第3、第4日のうち天候の良い1日に、「はす」に乗船し、琵琶湖で湖沼観測と試料採取を行う。
５）採取した試料は、大学の研究室（環境共用館2F）で、化学分析を行う。
６）鉛直プロファイルを作図し、データ解析を行う。
７）実習報告会でそれぞれの観測結果を発表し、議論する。
８）結果をレポートとしてまとめ、提出する。
