授業の内容や構成 Course Content / Plan | | Students are required to read an assigned part of a reference book and prepare for presentation on the contents in advance. In the class, students explain their own understanding of the assigned part to other students and discuss it with each other. Students may also make a group to study the same reference book. The first class is for a guidance, where the reference book and the schedule are fixed. |

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | Based on presentation and contribution to the active discussion. To receive a passing grade, students must give all presentations which will be assigned at the classes. |

不可(F)と欠席(W)の基準 Criteria for "Fail (F)" & "Absent (W)" grades | | Class attendance is required. Absentee must give a valid reason. A student who is absent from the class more than four times without a valid reason will be regarded as ABSENT. |
