授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | | Presuming that you have a background in undergraduate level molecular biology, and an understanding of English, we will go over several of the more unusual developments in modern biology. By reviewing from a historical viewpoint how “new” phenomena were analyzed and came to be understood, it is hoped that the knowledge obtained will help you in understanding or making decisions about your research in the future. We will also go over the important concepts and techniques you need to know to understand and appreciate these developments. This lecture will be highly speculative to stimulate thought and discussion. Topics covered in 2021 were; Prions, Transposons, RNAi, HIV, Cancer, Gene Editing, Covid19 etc.. |

Notice for Students | | | In the 2021 fall semester, this lecture was held both in-person and online due to the Covid 19 pandemic, however in 2022 the lecture will be held in-person unless the pandemic situation deteriorates dramatically. |
