Objectives of the Course | | | In this course, students will acquire a deeper understanding of ancient organisms and their ecology through the observation and analysis of various sedimentary rocks of Mesozoic and Cenozoic age （Triassic, Jurassic) and Neogene (Miocene） and the fossils they contain. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | | 参加する学生は、10 月に理科棟E棟（1階）E-132で開催される講義に出席してください。スケジュールは柔軟で、日付は最初の講義中に確定されます。 3 つの入門講義が予定されています。 講義に続いて、瑞浪市（岐阜県）で中新世の海成堆積岩を観察する日帰り巡検と、犬山市（愛知県）で三畳紀〜ジュラ紀の深海堆積岩を観察する日帰り巡検を行います。 | | Students who are taking this seminar are requested to attend the lectures held in classroom E-132 of Science Building E (ground floor) in October. Three introductory lectures are scheduled at the beginning of the semester. The lectures are followed by two one-day field trips: one to observe Miocene marine sedimentary rocks in Mizunami (Gifu Prefecture), and one to observe Triassic-Jurassic deep-sea sedimentary rocks in Inuyama (Gifu Prefecture). |

Since I will be taking part in a scientific expedition abroad this semester until the beginning of November, the first in person lecture taking place in the classroom will be on November 8th.
