Goals of the Course(JPN) | | グローバル社会におけるメディア・コミュニケーション研究者として必要な考え方や技能を身に着ける。
これは，研究論文執筆に必要な理論や方法論の学習にとどまらず，将来のキャリアや研究の発展性を見越した課題・方法の設定力，研究をいかに実施するかの計画力，情報収集力，研究成果の発信力等の向上が含まれる。
本セミナーでは特に，研究の発表，執筆，討論を想定した指導による，グローバル社会におけるメディア・コミュニケーションの研究を牽引できる研究総合力を育成する。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course | | Students will develop their ways of thinking and acquire skills which are essential for researchers in media communication in global society.
This includes not only learning theories and methods necessary for writing academic papers, but also improving students' ability to set research questions, to select methodologies appropriate to students' careers and research potential, to plan how to conduct their research, to gather information, and to disseminate their research outcomes. In this seminar, the instructor will make a final check of students’ theses as well as focus on improving students’ comprehensive ability which will enable students to become leaders in the field of media communication studies in global society. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | 研究テーマに関する報告を通して，研究の進捗をチェックするとともに，研究者としての長期展望を見据えた研究計画を実施していく。
〔計画〕
1. 研究テーマに関する報告・討論を行う。
これまでの研究成果について検討し，最終的な研究論文作成の指導を行う。
2. その際，単なる研究の進捗報告にとどまらない，学会・研究会発表を視野に入れた，日英両言語による効果的で説得力のある
プレゼンテーション技術の向上を目指した演習を行う。
また，本セミナーでは英語による討論力の養成に重点を置き，リーダーシップの育成をめざす。 | Students will monitor the progress of their research through giving presentations about their research topic and implement their research plans with a long-term perspective as researchers.
1. Students will present their research outcomes to finish writing their thesis.
2. At the same time, students will not only report their research progress and introduce representative works, but will also develop their skills for making effective and persuasive presentations to successfully report their research outcomes in both Japanese and English in academic conferences and study groups. In addition, this seminar will especially focus on improving discussion skills with the aim of developing students’ leadership. |
