Goals of the Course [ENG]
【Standardized across all programs】 This course is designed to develop interdisciplinary and comprehensive analytical skills for the issues facing modern society, and to understand the relationship between the specialized field of study to be pursued and political science, thereby recognizing the role of specialized knowledge in society and acquiring the perspective to relativize one's own specialized field. The specific topics to be dealt with will be determined according to the specialties and interests of the instructor.

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
Stemming from comparative politics, this course aims give students a broad understanding of American politics and the American political system. We will review the major political components of the US, including the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government, non-governmental actors, and cover some current events in the latter part of the course.
