Students must be able to design their own experiments and conduct research with the help of graduate students and instructors in the laboratory they belong to.

Students will receive the following guidance from instructors in their laboratory.
- Reviewing literatures related to their research subjects.
- Planning research methods and conducting experiments.
- Analysis of data and interpretation of results.
- Presentation of research progress.

Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
Grading will be decided based on the abilities to conduct a literature review, to carry out experiments, to interpret and discuss the results appropriately, and to report the research progress at the review meeting.
