This course introduces the basics of biophysics, in which biological phenomena are described in terms of physics language to the students taking this course.

The class will highlight the role of physics, chemistry, and computer science in the study of biological molecules. The students will familiarize themselves with protein structures and methods to study these as well as computer tools to visualize and analyze those protein structures

Biochemistry textbooks might be helpful such as Lehninger’s Principles of Biochemistry. In addition, you may explore Protein Actions: Principles and Modeling, Introduction to Proteins: Structure, Function, and Motion.
