授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | Students will learn strategies and techniques for service and manufacturing operations. A number of quantitative techniques and business applications are presented, including Aggregate planning; MRP and ERP; Inventory management; JIT and lean operations; Scheduling; Project management; and Management of waiting lines. |

到達目標 【日本語】 Objectives of the Course(JPN) | | After completing this course, the student will be able to:
1. Explain what aggregate planning is and how it is useful.
2. Describe MRP, MRP II, and ERP and their benefits.
3. Explain basic inventory models and solve typical problems.
4. Explain the terms 'lean operations' and 'JIT.'
5. Explain what scheduling involves and the importance of good scheduling.
6. Descrive PERT/CPM
7. Understand basic waiting line problems. |

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | [Course evaluation]
1. Exams - 70%
There will be three exams during the semester. The exams are weighted equally.
2. Assignments - 30%
There will be a homework assignment after each chapter, which take the form of online quizzes. Each assignment has a due date. Late submission will be accepted with a penalty of a 10% deduction per day (24-hour period).
[Grading Schema]
To pass this course, you must receive a C- or higher grade. The grading schema is the following:
