Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course is for the student to acquire basic concepts and processes that affect Space Weather. We will study solar activity and its impact, the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere, geomagnetic storms, as well as, investigate the impact of Space Weather on technology and our daily life. We will focus more on concepts than equations.
By the end of this course, students will have gained an elementary understanding of space weather, its components, and its impact on both natural phenomena and human technology.
