Goals of the Course | | | In this course, students will have the opportunity to carefully think about their research project for their master’s dissertation and to share their progress with the instructor and their colleagues for feedback. Students will pursue their own research interest by conducting a feasible and methodologically rigorous project. |

Objectives of the Course | | | Students will learn about the literature relevant to their dissertation and enhance their skills and methodologies to write an academic dissertation based on evidence. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | | Students are expected to do a presentation at least once when they report on their progress with their master’s dissertation. In order to prepare for this presentation, they should conduct their own independent research. Students are expected to share their research findings in the presentation. In the class, the course instructor and other students will comment on their research project. |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | | Grades will be determined based on partcipation in class discussion, presentation, and their research progress. Credit is given to C- or C (where applicable) or higher grade for each criterion. |

Textbook/Reference Book | | | Students will read works related to their research project based on the consultation with the course instructor. |
