授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | The objective of this course subject is to provide students with opportunities to listen to special lectures offered by leaders from international organizations, business and non-organizations to learn from their experiences and insights. |

到達目標 【英語】 Objectives of the Course | | By studying this course, participants will have global perspectives and insights crucial when participants work as a leader in international organization, business and NGOs so that participants can plan their career and build skill portfolio in pursuing career in those institutions. |

授業の内容や構成 Course Content / Plan | | This course subject offers guest speaker lecture series, consisting of a total of seven lectures by four guest speakers who work or have worked at international organizations, international business organizations and international NGOs in the global arena as a leader. The guest speakers discuss the nature of their work and introduce activities that their organizations carry out. They also provide students with information and tips that are helpful for students to prepare for working at international organizations in future. Through intensive lectures and discussions provided by guest lecturers, students are expected to acquire 1) understanding of global issues, particularly those related to SDGs, 2) ability to look at issues from a comprehensive perspective and practical skills useful to work at international organizations.
The classes will meet at 15:00 – 18:00 on the first Wednesdays of each month in the Fall semester.
Details on the guest speakers and their topics will be notified in due course.

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | After each session, students are required to write a short paper. Course evaluation will be made based on contribution to class discussions and the quality of short papers. Credit is given of C- or C( where applicable) or higher grade by assessing each criterion. |

教科書・参考書 Textbook/Reference Book | | No single textbooks are used in this course. However, reading materials will be distributed before or in the class. |

課外学習等(授業時間外学習の指示) Study Load(Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours) | | Each lecture provides reading materials before or in the class, which participants are expected to read and refer to when writing a report. Students are required to familiarize themselves with the profiles of the organizations which are discussed in class. |

注意事項 Notice for Students | | Students are expected to make an active participation in the class. The class is designed to be as interactive as possible so that lecturers ask participants to speak and share their thoughts. |
