Objectives of the Course | | The objective of this course is to acquire the following knowledge and skills.
1. Understand and be able to explain the concept of "Sustainability" in context of environmental studies from three perspectives: 1) Society and/or social sciences, 2) Observation and analysis by natural sciences, and 3) Urban and spatial perspective.
2. Be able to explain "Sustainability" using the concept of "Safety". |

Course Content / Plan | | 環境を考える上での，重要な概念の一つである「持続可能な発展」について，持続性（Sustainability）という尺度と環境学（Environmental studies）という分野を通じて理解する。

・ GHG排出正味ゼロを達成するエネルギーシステム変革

3. ディスカッション | The lectures are to be given by several lecturers that may include external guest speakers. Sustainability covers broad areas. It is therefore inevitable that the course consists of various topics.

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | | 課題（50%）と最終レポート（50%）で評価する。講義への出席率が 70% 未満の者は不可とする。 | | Evaluation is carried out based on assignments (50%) and final report (50%). Credits will not be given to those with lower than 70% attendance of lectures. |
