【Standardized across all programs】 To acquire and build ones core attitudes as an active learner, through inquiry of: What is an university; what is learning like in an university setting; what kind of wisdom is necessary for learning in an university setting.

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
The main objective of the course is to improve students' self-directed learning and autonomy through understanding of learning and time management principles.
An equally important learning objective is self-understanding from basic psychology/mental health perspective and improving health/mental health management.
Students will develop a practical knowledge on learning strategies and mindset frameworks that will allow them to face successfully the challenges that university studies present.

Course Content or Plan
The course focuses on active and experiential learning and is structured around group discussions and student projects.
Students will explore how university learning is different from high school, how psychology and neuroscience can help us understand the process of learning, and what techniques are effective to truly learn rather than simply memorize.

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
This course final grade is expressed as Pass/ Non Pass. This course will not use the regular university grading system, and will not be counted for GPA. To receive a Pass grade students need to compile minimum 60% from the evaluation elements. Detailed evaluation structure is available on the course TACT site.
Student progress in this course is evaluated through individual or group projects, weekly action/reflection assignments and weekly reading assignments.
Withdrawal (W) grade: Students are not required to make a formal withdrawal request to withdraw from the course. Students who do not fulfill grading requirements for a passing grade will receive a W grade.
