Goals of the Course [JPN]
少人数のセミナーの形式で，大学で学び研究するための最も基本的なスキル（コモン・ベーシック）としての読み（文献調査，考察，検討），書き（まとめ，報告書作成），話す（討論，発表）を中心とした多面的な知的トレーニングを行います。さらに「知の探究のプロセス」と「学問の面白さ」を学び，自立的学習能力を身につけることを目的としています。教員の研究分野に応じて多様なテーマが用意されています。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
This course is conducted in the form of a seminar with small groups. We will provide multifaceted intellectual training focused on reading (literature research, consideration, examination), writing (summary, report writing), and speaking (discussion, presentation) as the most basic skills (common basic) for learning and studying at university. Through this, our goal is to learn the "process of knowledge exploration" and "the fun of learning" and to acquire the independent learning ability. A wide variety of themes are prepared according to the research field of the instructors.

Objectives of the Course [JPN]
安楽死は合法化すべきなのか、脳死は人の死とみなせるのか、小児医療で親と子のどちらの意思を優先すべきか、デザイナーベビーは許されるのか、など医療や生命に関するもやもやするトピックを例として、多角的かつファクトベースに調べ、批判的に吟味し、エビデンスベースに議論する能力を身に付ける。

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
Develop the ability to research multifaceted and fact-based issues, critically evaluate them, and engage in evidence-based discussions, using examples such as whether euthanasia should be legalized, whether brain death can be considered the death of a person, whose wishes should take priority between a child and their parents, and whether designer babies should be permitted.
