Goals of the Course [JPN]
少人数のセミナーの形式で，大学で学び研究するための最も基本的なスキル（コモン・ベーシック）としての読み（文献調査，考察，検討），書き（まとめ，報告書作成），話す（討論，発表）を中心とした多面的な知的トレーニングを行います。さらに「知の探究のプロセス」と「学問の面白さ」を学び，自立的学習能力を身につけることを目的としています。教員の研究分野に応じて多様なテーマが用意されています。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
This course is conducted in the form of a seminar with small groups. We will provide multifaceted intellectual training focused on reading (literature research, consideration, examination), writing (summary, report writing), and speaking (discussion, presentation) as the most basic skills (common basic) for learning and studying at university. Through this, our goal is to learn the "process of knowledge exploration" and "the fun of learning" and to acquire the independent learning ability. A wide variety of themes are prepared according to the research field of the instructors.

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
The purpose of this course is to help students acquire the skills necessary for conducting literature research, writing (summarizing and writing reports), speaking (discussion and presentation), and independent study skills in order to study and conduct research at the university.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content or Plan
学生は、自分の興味のある医学分野に関する概説論文（例えば、 Nature誌のNews and Views）を読み、内容を理解し、Powerpointによるプレゼンテーションを行います。原著論文から実際に行われた実験を理解することを推奨します。プレゼンテーションでは、他の学生や教員からの質問に答え、議論を深めます。

履修条件はありませんが、医学科の指定された学生のみ履修登録可能となっています。
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
毎回のディスカッションや各自のプレゼンテーションの内容をもとに評価します。学期途中で履修の意思がなくなった場合，履修取り下げを申し出る必要があります。
