Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | This course is designed for students who are new to learning the German language. It helps them recognize the thought patterns inherent in the German language and culture through elementary language practice. Furthermore, through the process of understanding the language, they are able to collaborate with diverse people, exhibit an open and tolerant attitude toward multiple cultures, and exercise flexibility in dealing with unexpected situations. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | | 学生はドイツ語を理解し、活用できるようにするために、まず初めに、ドイツ語を他言語、特に英語や日本語と対比させ、共通点や相 違点を明らかにします。そこからドイツ語の言語体系の特徴を見出し、理解を深めていきます。授業では、文字や語彙の学習の他に、 ドイツ語特有の基本的な文法法則、例えば、統語論の規則や語形変化、特に動詞の人称変化、名詞の性・数・格による冠詞の語尾変化 などを学んでいきます。 |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | The participants of this class will get to know essential characteristics of the German language system, also in comparison to other languages like English and Japanese to indicate parallels as well as differences, so they can achieve a global understanding of the nature and operating principles of the German language. This includes beyond the writing system and certain vocabulary, which can be studied in this class, basical specifities like syntactical regularities and the strong flexion in German, especially the verb conjugation and the declension of nouns and other word classes related to them. |

Course Content or Plan | | ことばとコミュニケーションの能力を習得するには、何よりも文章理解と対話のための実践的な練習が重要です。これに関連する表現 手段を、最初の出会い、ショッピング、日常の暮らし、道を尋ねる、旅のプランなど、それぞれの場面に合わせて練習します。

1. Schriftsystem, Satzbau, Zahlen, Personalpronomina, regelmäßige Verbkonjugation Präsens
2. Fragen, Genus, bestimmter vs. unbest. Artikel, Satzglieder (Subjekt/Objekt), Deklination
3. Modalverben, Uhrzeit u. Wochentage, trennbare Verben, Personalpronomen u. Deklination
4. Präpositionen u. Kasusrektion, Infinitiv m. zu, Perfekt u. Partizip II, Possessivartikel u. Deklination |

Message from the Instructor | | 授業における対話が中心になります。つまりことばの構造の受動的な習得だけではなく、とりわけ、能動 的な使用と、学ん だ言語との 「付き合い」が重要です。従って、中心的な練習形式は対話であり、授業で は、この点に的を絞り、特に質問 に対する答えという形で 練習を行います。 最終的、また長期的に、私 たちの共通の目標は、外国語の構成要素を取り扱う とともに、ドイツ語環境においてであ れ、個々の話し 相 手に対してであれ、自然かつのびのびと、ことばを通じてそれぞ れの立場を演じる能力を身に付けるこ とにありま す。この点に鑑み、 この授業では具体的な表現手段と並び、そのために まず必要な基礎を身 に付け、ドイツ語という言語の機能の仕方 を総合的に理解する ことを目指します。
Main intentions of this course are a global understanding of the structures of German language and its functions and also the competence to use this knowledge for communication in German. Therefore the students will be introduced beyond basical fundaments of the German language (like alphabet, pronounciation or grammatical structures) into its practical use for example by performing sequences of question and answer or action patterns in certain situational contexts. |
