Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | This course is designed to help students who have already mastered the basics of the French language to further develop their applied skills. It is recommended particularly for students who specialize in the French language and culture. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | 今まで学習したフランス語を実際に使って、会話・作文などの練習をする。
フランスの社会・文化についての知識を獲得できるようにする。 |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | This course will focus on actually practicing using the French the students have learned so far. It will also focus on gaining better knowledge of French-speaking society and culture. It aims at having a better understanding and being able to explain what has been understood. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content or Plan | | This course will be organized in two halves.
1) First, each session will be done with the reading of a text in French, written specifically for learners of the French language. The goal will be to understand the text, be able to sum it up. Students will practice reading out loud, and discussing the topic on the text. It necessary, grammar notions will be discussed to unsure understanding.
2) During the second half of the semester, the same process will be applied but to documents from actual French TV, news, books, etc. The key will be to practice understanding and writing down what we understand in a brief summary.
For this semester, the texts will focus on French cultural habits. |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | Class participation 30%
Mid-semester exam 30% (this will consist of an oral examination where students will be to explain a text in French)
Final exam 40% (Students will have a written exam based on the the second half of the semester : understanding a document and creating a summary)
The teacher has to be informed of withdrawal, otherwise it will be considered an F. |
