授業の内容や構成
Course Content or Plan | | | This course has two aims: the first is to tie together and advance the English-language skills (listening, speaking, and writing) that students have been working on in prior English courses in the sequence; the second is to learn how to deliver an effective presentation. In the first half of the semester, we briefly explore our theme: the cultural effects of the digital age. How do we thrive in an attention economy? How does (and will) artificial intelligence affect the human capacity to learn, solve problems, and make decisions? How should we navigate the ethical, aesthetic, and pedagogical challenges that this field poses? Midway through the course, we shift to the question, ‘What makes a good presentation?’ and consider various approaches. Students will write a midterm paper on a topic of their own choosing that is related to the course’s theme and then use that paper as the basis for their final project, a presentation. |

履修取下げの際に申し出を必要としない。５回以上欠席をした場合、「Ｗ」とする。 |
