This course is intended to cultivate students’ understanding of the English language and/or English-based cultures in the modern world. Building on the skills acquired in the basic-level through advanced-level courses, students will further their reading skills in academic English.

授業の内容や構成
Course Content or Plan
Building on students' academic skills, students will apply their critical thinking skills to evaluate the reliability of sources in different academic tasks. Students will learn how to respond to content in an original way and become confident in expressing their own ideas. They will also develop their ability to learn collaboratively. This course will enable students to practice and hone the academic skills they learned and apply them to academic writing and discussions. The emphasis will be on learning new content related to academic reading and discussions. Students will summarize, discuss and respond to content through tasks including oral or written summaries and critical evaluations.

Cコースの学生は、英語（サバイバル）に合格した者のみ履修可。
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
履修取下げの際に申し出を必要としない。５回以上欠席をした場合、「Ｗ」とする。
50% participation, 50% examination.
