【Standardized across all programs】 This course is intended to develop and integrate students’ abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking at an advanced level in academic English. The course aims to help students acquire skills for making effective presentations on various occasions such as academic conferences and business meetings.

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
Students will learn to discuss, write about, and present on things they read and about movies. By doing so, students will gain a deeper understand of life and culture in English-speaking countries.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content or Plan
The objectives of this course is to improve English language speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. We will do this through studying U.S. culture, especially movies. By making presentations on these subjects, students will improve their reading writing and presentation skills useful for academic presentations. Through understanding culture, they will also learn social and cultural skills necessary to make business speeches.

Preparation: Students are expected to read the materials on TACT before class.

Task: Students are expected to prepare to give presentations as a reporter that contribute to
constructive classes.
In this class we learn how to speak English through interpreting and analyzing movies. Please be prepared to think of movies as more than entertainment.
