グローバリゼーションが進行する中，多くの開発途上国で発展のための多様な努力がなされています。目覚しい発展を遂げる国もあれば，発展から取り残される国もあります。また，それぞれの国内でも，開発の恩恵に浴する人たちと，そうでない人たちが出ています。また開発は環境の悪化などの問題も引き起こしています。講義では，諸外国におけるこのような開発の光と影の実態及び法律，政治，社会などの諸側面における対応の現状と課題とについて考察します。

With the acceleration of globalization, many developing countries have made great strides in development. However, while some countries have accomplished remarkable development, other countries have been left far behind. At the same time, even within countries that have experienced high levels of development, there are some groups that reap the benefits of that development, while others have barely been affected. In addition, there are also many problems that have been caused by development, such as environmental degradation. This lecture looks at both the light and dark sides of development as experienced by various countries, and also examines the present ways of dealing with these issues in the fields of law, politics, and society.

国際開発にかかわる諸問題を法と開発の視点から考察する。各テーマごとに現状を捉え、改善点を提案し、日本は真に豊かであるための改善点を提案できるようになる。

By grasping various issues related to international development from the perspective of law and development, students will be able to propose improvements based on an understanding of the situation in Japan.

個別の教科書は指定しない。ただし、授業進行と学生の理解状況をふまえて「教科書」として個別図書を指定する必要が生じた場合には購入のための十分な時間的余裕をもって別途指示する。
