授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | 【Standardized across all programs】 This course aims to equip students with knowledge on how to develop their own intercultural competence by enhancing their understanding of the fundamental models and concepts(culture, culture and identity, verbal/non-verbal communication, prejudice, stereotype, generalization ethno and cultural relativism, etc) of intercultural competence through discussion and presentations, in order to prepare themselves for international society. |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | ・Students will learn basic knoweldge of Intercultural Competence (definitions, models, componets, and related concepts).
・Students will be able to use the knowldge earned to develop their own Intercultural Competence.
・Students will abe to apply the knoweldge earned to reflect on themselves and 'culture' from a different perspective. |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | Final Report: 30% (English or Japanese), Presentation (English) 30%, Group Work (English) 20% , Participation 20%
Course Withdrawal : Students are required to inform to the course instructor when they wish to withdraw from the course. Deadline: Wednesday, November 17. *NUPACE students should follow the deadline designated by the NUPACE Programme.
期末レポート 30% (言語は、英語でも日本語でも可), 発表 (英語）30%,グループ・ワーク（英語）20%
授業への参加・出席 20%。
取下げについて：
学期途中で履修の意思がなくなった場合，担当教員に履修取り下げを申し出る必要あり。
取下げ申請期限：11月17日（水）* NUPACE学生については、NUPACEプログラムで指定されている期限申し出ること。 |

Message from the Instructor | | ①Office hours: Students can visit the instructor's office anytime between 10:30-17:00. Due to periodical meetings, it would be appeciated if students could mail the instructor in advance.
オフィスアワー：10時30分～17時の間であれば、自由に研究室を訪ねて差し支えありません。ただし、会議などで不在の時もあるので、事前にメールでの連絡をいただけると助かります。
②This class consists of international students and Japanese students. Students will be able to learn differents points of view through lectures, discussions and presentations. A proactive participation is expected.
本講義は、留学生との混合クラスです。講義やディカッション、発表を通じて様々な考え方に触れることができる授業です。皆さんの積極的な参加を期待しています。 |
