授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | 【Standardized across all programs】 What is gender? what is femininity and masculinity? How can we create a society that respects and includes diversity such as LGBTQ? Throughout the course, we will consider the importance of gender equality in order to create a society where people can shine regardless of their gender, as well as various issues such as politics, economics, education, job hunting, marriage, declining birthrates, and child rearing from gender perspectives. The goals of this course are 1) to introduce students to the basic concepts of gender studies, 2) to deepen students’ understanding of a wide variety of gender issues in Japan and global society, 3) to encourage students to think from diversified standpoints and to take action to promote gender equality. |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | 1) To understand the basic concepts of gender studies and to deepen understanding of various gender issues in Japan and global society.
2) To develop abilities to communicate effectively about gender issues in writing and orally.
3) To take action to promote gender equality. |

Study Load (Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours) | | Students are expected to study the theme in advance and prepare for their opinion.
Students are expected to review lecture handouts.
Students are expected to have their own opinions and improve their oral and written English skills.
