ソーシャルメディアが日常に浸透し，デマやフェイクニュースはいつの間にか珍しいものではなくなっています。同時に，スマートホンの操作1つで，誤った情報を拡散してしまったり，友人のプライバシーを侵害し，意図せず自分が加害者となってしまう危険と隣り合わせになっています。われわれはメディアとどのように付き合い，使いこなしていけばよいでしょうか。
本講義では，テレビ局の協力を得て，メディアリテラシー，テレビ報道と放送の使命やメディアの課題，問題点を考えていきます。ニュース，ドキュメンタリー，ドラマ，バラエティなどの番組を制作している記者，ディレクター，アナウンサーや技術者をお招きし，放送の在り方やジャーナリズムについて，現場の体験を踏まえた講義を行います。

As social media permeates our daily lives, hoaxes and fake news are becoming more and more common. At the same time, we are facing the danger of spreading false information, invading the privacy of our friends, and unintentionally becoming a perpetrator, all with a single operation of our smart phones. How should we deal with and use the media?
In this lecture, with the cooperation of TV stations, we will consider media literacy, the mission of TV reporting and broadcasting, and issues and problems in the media. Reporters, directors, announcers, and technicians who produce news, documentary, drama, and variety programs will be invited to give lectures on the nature of broadcasting and journalism based on their experiences in the field.

新聞社、テレビ局で働く人の生の声を聞くことができる貴重な機会です。将来メディア関連企業で働くことを考えている人も、現在のマスメディアのあり方に疑問を抱く人も、直接質問してみよう。
抽選に通った方は、そのことを踏まえ、極力履修取り下げをせず最後まで履修して下さい。
