Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 数学は近代科学の言語および手法として不可欠のものとなっています。中でも最も基本となっているのは微分積分学と線形代数学です。本科目は微分積分学の基礎理解をその目的とします。特に対数関数・三角関数など初等関数を理解し，自由な解析的扱いができるようになることを重視します。高校数学との接続を考慮し，直感的見方の紹介，確率や統計学などへの応用の言及などにより理解を容易にします。 |

Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | Mathematics has become an integral part of the language and method of modern science. The most basic of these are calculus and linear algebra. The goal of this course is to understand the basics of calculus. In particular, it is important to understand elementary functions such as logarithmic functions and trigonometric functions so that they can be treated freely and analytically. Considering the connection with high school mathematics, it will be easier to understand by introducing intuitive viewpoints. We also mention applications in probabilities, statistics and related topics. |

Message from the Instructor | | 講義資料を作ってみて半年もあれば理系の一年生の微積分は講義できると思った．
心がけたことは
(i) イメージを喚起できる幾何学的方法の重視
(ii) 応用の背景にある数理
を感じ取ってもらえることである．このようなやや緩い講義なので，期末テストは行わず，
毎回の課題提出を通して数学を理解してもらうことを優先し，提出された課題で成績を
評価することにした． |
