我々の住む地球がどのような特徴をもった惑星であるのかを理解するとともに，地球惑星科学を概観することを目的とします。このため，宇宙や太陽系の中での地球の起源，地球の形状と内部構造，地球を構成する物質の種類や性質，岩石圏で発生する地震，水圏・気圏も含めた地球の表層環境などについて解説し，地球に対する理解を深めます。また地球惑星科学で用いられている代表的な研究方法なども紹介します。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
The goal of this course is to understand the characteristics of our planet Earth and to provide an overview of Earth and planetary science. To this end, the origin of the Earth in the universe and Solar System, the shape and internal structure of the Earth, the materials that make up the Earth, earthquakes occurred in the lithosphere, and the surface environment of the Earth including the hydrosphere and atmosphere will be explained to deepen the understanding of the Earth. Research methods used in Earth and planetary science will also be introduced.

宇宙、太陽系の構造と形成過程を知ることにより、太陽系の中の地球を俯瞰し、その後、地球の内部から表層の構造を知ることにより、我々の生活場としての地球を理解することを目指す。

By the end of the course, students are expected to explain the formation processes of the universe and the solar system, and then to explain the structure of the Earth from the deep to the surface.

07. プレートテクトニクスI（成立の歴史）
08. プレートテクトニクスII（造山運動、断層）、中間試験
09. 火成岩とプレートテクトニクス
10. 地表の変化（岩石の風化と堆積物）
11. 地球環境の変遷I（地質時代の区分）
12. 地球環境の変遷II（生物の変遷と地球環境の変化)）
13. 海洋I（構造と運動）
14. 海洋II（海水の組成）
15. 現在の地球環境（温暖化、海洋酸性化）、期末試験

授業では、必要な図表などをプリントして配布し、それに基づいて講義する。
履修条件・関連する科目

履修条件は要さない。
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
２回の試験（中間試験と期末試験）の結果により、成績評価を行う。
【授業の達成目標】に記載した内容が達成されることを成績評価の基準とします。
履修取り下げにあたり、履修取り下げ届を必要としない。中間試験または期末試験を欠席した場合、成績判定は「W」とする。

必要に応じて授業で示す。

講義内容について、受講後、ノート、キーワード、配布資料、参考書をもとに毎回復習すること。授業は、前回までの授業内容の理解を前提に講義を進める。

Message from the Instructor
The goal of the course is to help students acquire an understanding the basic principles of the solar system and the earth and develop their view of the earth. By the end of the course, students are expected to explain the formation processes of the universe and the solar system, and then to explain the structure of the Earth from the deep to the surface.
