授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | This course teaches the use of social science quantitative techniques, emphasizing applications of value to administrators and researchers alike in the fields of law, political science, public policy, and public and international affairs. It includes a review of theoretical application as well as practical use of descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing. |

到達目標 【英語】 Objectives of the Course | | Quantitative Analysis II is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to reach a new level of understanding and analysis of social science data. The course is a continuation of Quantitative Analysis I, and will therefore focus on the application of the previous material. This course will emphasize the application and analysis of computer based statistical techniques in particular, with an emphasis on social science variables. |

Lecture 4 - Crosstabs, Chi-square, Measures of Association
Lecture 5 - Lab 2 – Crosstabs & Chi-Square
Lecture 6 - Midterm exam
Lecture 7 - Correlation
Lecture 8 - Lab 3 - Correlation
Lecture 9 - Regression
Lecture 10 - Lab 4 - Regression
Lecture 11 - Regression continued, dummy variables

A mathematical background is not expected, but students should know basic algebra at a minimum. Students enrolled in Quantitative Techniques II should have already completed the Quantitative Techniques I class with a satisfactory grade. |
