授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | "The title of this course is “Academic Writing IV: Master's Thesis Mentoring.” The aim of this course is to guide students who will submit their Master's thesis in June of 2025. Students will work one on one with a mentor to dicuss the construction and logic of their thesis. All students should have a draft of their thesis complete prior to the beginning of the course in April.
Students will meet with their mentors individually based on their mentor's schedule. There is no set class time for this course, however all students are required to attend the orientation class at the beginning of the semester.
Students must submit their work to their mentor in a Word document file following the GSL Writing Guideline requirements. Mentors will not correct thesis content, including grammar, spelling or punctuation, however Mentors will ensure students are following GSL Writing Guidelines."

• Students must pass an AI check and a plagiarism check before their thesis is grammar checked by a native English cheker.
• Students must receive approval from their supervising professor before submitting their thesis to native English check. "

授業の内容や構成 Course Content / Plan | | Lesson 1 :Orientation. Orientation will inform students of all deadlines during the mentoring period and students will receive the name of their mentor.

履修条件・関連する科目 Course Prerequisites and Related Courses | | Master's students need to have successfully completed AW I. In addition, AW II and AWIII is strongly recommended.

課外学習等(授業時間外学習の指示) Study Load(Self-directed Learning Outside Course Hours) | | Students should come to mentor meetings prepared. Students must submit assignments well ahead of each mentor meeting to allow the mentor time to read the chapter.

注意事項 Notice for Students | | Meetings with your mentor are mandatory, if you cannot make a meeting inform your mentor as soon as possible. Should you anticipate unforeseen delay in submission, you must request more time from your mentor. However, the mentor reserves the right to approve or deny the request.
