Goals of the Course(JPN) | | 【授業の目的】気候変動はグローバルな問題であるが、その影響はローカルな文脈において顕在化し、社会経済的な変数によっても大きく規定される。この授業は、気候変動のローカルな文脈での立ち現れ方やそれが付随する諸問題に関する社会学的理解を深めることを目的とする。具体的には、気候変動適応（CCA）に関する代表的な著作、論文の講読を通して、気候変動がもたらす諸影響と社会階層、開発や都市化、移住、災害や防災との関連について検討する。

Goals of the Course | | Objective
Climate change is a global issue, but its effects are manifested in local contexts and are largely defined by socioeconomic variables. This class aims to deepen sociological understanding of how climate change is manifested in the local context and the issues it entails. Specifically, through reading major works and articles on climate change adaptation (CCA), we will examine the various impacts of climate change and its relationship to social stratification, development, urbanization, migration and disaste risk reduction.

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | 授業は対面で実施する（全学344教室）。
【授業の構成】最初に、気候変動適応（CCA）に関する研究動向について講義する。それを踏まえて、当該の研究分野で定評ある著作（論文集）から受講生が関心のある論文を選択し、講読と質疑を行う。授業で用いる著作リストは授業担当者が用意する。以下は、想定される主な論点の例示である。
1 研究の方法論的課題
CCAに関する自然科学的アプローチと社会科学的アプローチの相違や接点
2 気候変動影響に関連する社会経済的要因
階層格差や開発、都市化との関連
3 CCAとしての移動
移動・移住研究の諸論点とCCA研究の接点
4 気候変動と自然災害
気候変動が災害の発生に及ぼす諸影響
【授業時間外学習の指示】授業開始時までに所定の論文を必ず熟読し、論点を整理しておくこと
| Structure of the seminar:
Students will select several papers of their interest from a collection of articles on climate change adaptation, and present and discuss its contents.
1. Methodological issues in research
Integration of natural and social science approaches to CCA
2 Socioeconomic factors related to climate change impacts
Relationship to class disparities, development, and urbanization
3 Human mobility as CCA
Connections between issues in migration research and CCA research
4. CCA and natural disasters
Influences of CCA on the outbreaks of natural disasters
Students are requested to read every article in advance. |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | ・報告、ディスカッションへの貢献、期末レポートによって評価する。
・期末レポートは、「気候変動適応に関する社会学的アプローチとは何か」をテーマとする。
・ディスカッションへの「貢献」とは、テーマへの理解を深めるような問いや意見を発することを指す。
・報告30%、ディスカッションへの貢献30%、期末レポート40%で点数をつけ、100点満点で60点以上を合格とする。 | - Evaluation is based on presentation (30%), contribution to discussion (30%) and final report (40%). The score above or equal to 60 is required for credits.
- Theme of final report is to discuss what is sociological approach to climate change adaptation.
- Contribution to discussion means making useful remarks on the issues. |
