地理学の諸問題に関する調査を，室内作業・フィールドワークにもとづいて実施し，地理学や環境学の研究に必要な基礎的手法およびそれらを応用，統合する力を身につける。(DP2, DP4)

Goals of the Course
The purpose of this seminar is to acquire techniques required for research of geography and/or environmental studies through investigation about the problems of geography based on reading of articles, analyzing statistical data, and conducting fieldwork. (DP2, DP4)

To learn the methods of fieldwork to conduct research in the field of geography.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
名古屋ないし日本国内の地域を取り上げ，文献研究などを通して設定したテーマについて，統計資料分析やフィールド調査などを実施しながら考究し，研究発表や討論を行うとともに，レポート論文を作成する。また履修者は本セミナーで実施される研究倫理教育ガイダンスの受講を必須とする。
The course will be given in seminar style. The main contents are shown below:

1. Reading papers/articles related to problems of geography.
2. Determination of the study area
3. Analysis of statistical data
4. Fieldwork
5. Presentation of the results
6. Writing a report

All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar.
履修条件・関連する科目
Course Prerequisites and Related Courses
履修条件は要さない。ただし，内容としては，学部課程において地域調査の経験のない人向けである。
The course has no specific prerequisites, but, toward students who have never experienced any fieldworks in the undergraduate programs.
成績評価の方法と基準

提出されたレポート論文および平常点にもとづいて評価する。
