Goals of the Course [JPN] | | 専門的学習のツールとして外国語の能力を高め，異文化理解を深めて，国際社会に相応しい教養を育むことが目的です。そのねらいは，研究拠点大学である名古屋大学の学生にふさわしい学術英語を使いこなす能力を身につけるところにあります。学術的な英文に関する基礎的なリーディング能力とライティング能力を養成します。

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | | 論理的な英文のカギとなるパラグラフの構造に着目し、目的に応じて必要な情報をいかに読みとるか、また逆に、自分の考えをその根拠とともにいかに説得力ある論理的な英文に組み立てるかを学ぶ。将来、専門の論文を英語で読んだり書いたりする時に、指針となる英文構成法の基礎、および実際に役立つ英語表現を多く習得する。 |

Course Content or Plan | | The course focuses on giving practice in paragraph reading and paragraph writing on general cultural topics. It also gives the students practice in listening and speaking and gives them opportunity to learn about aspects of British culture. The course includes pair work and groupwork. Topics discussed are

【授業の達成目標】に記載した内容が達成されることを合格の基準とします。履修取下げの際に申し出を必要としない。５回以上欠席をした場合、「Ｗ」とする。 |
