Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | This course aims to engage with diverse aspects of society and universal issues, encouraging students to actively grasp and deepen their examination of these topics while developing their own perspectives. It is structured to enhance the Japanese language skills necessary for this purpose and to cultivate practical application abilities. Specifically, it aims to foster self-directed learning among students, setting the following objectives:
(1) Through exchanging opinions via pair/group activities and research projects, students can objectively reflect on their own thoughts and self-monitor.
(2) Logically articulate the basis and reasons for one's own thoughts.
(3) Acquire the ability to gather, analyze, and critically examine necessary information. |

In this semester the former half of the designated textbook is mainly used. The latter half of it is used in Academic Japanese 4B in spring semester. |
