授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course [ENG]
【Standardized across all programs】 Life sciences have made rapid progress over the past few decades, and have become an interdisciplinary field that overlaps with a wide range of natural science fields, including physics and chemistry, beyond the boundaries of traditional academic disciplines. Furthermore, with the development of various biotechnologies, life sciences have become a discipline that is closely related to society, as symbolized by genetically engineered animals and plants, and regenerative medicine. In this course, students will learn the current status of life science in order to deepen their understanding of the significance of life science.
授業の達成目標 【英語】

担当教員からのメッセージ
Message from the Instructor
Students wishing to withdraw from the course without academic penalty must do so by requesting course withdrawal before May 9, 2026 18:00 hrs (Tokyo time).
That is the only way to receive an “Absent” grade, which does not count in GPA. After the date above, students may not withdraw from the course: a numeric grade will be calculated according to the evaluation method given in this syllabus, and the resulting letter grade will be reported to the Administration at the end of the course. This grade will count in GPA. If percentages are not reached, this will lead to “F” score. Also, in case of no submission more than one test and lack of attendance, an “F” will be given.
