Goals of the Course [JPN]

Objectives of the Course [JPN]

Objectives of the Course [ENG]
The main objectives of this course are to help students develop their own research topic. To achieve this, the course focuses on comparison and comparatism in the formulation of a research project:
1. Building the main research idea by formulating a clear thesis statement that expresses the originality of the research. A research project on a foreign country or other culture implicitly or explicitly involves a comparative analysis, which should be made objective.
2. Choosing a spatial framework and a time period - that is, a level of scale - for one’s research.
3. Organizing ideas systematically by writing an appealing abstract that presents the main research idea and a narative in a coherent way.
This course also aims to help students move beyond AI-generated writing. Through this process, they will cultivate the critical reasoning skills that distinguish human intelligence from automated text generation.
