Goals of the Course [JPN]
たんに過去の出来事を暗記するのではなく，史料から人類の過去を再現するための学問的手続き，その出来事がなぜ起こり，どのような意味をもったのかを考察する歴史学的思考を学びます。それにより，自分が生きている時代と世界のあり方を相対化し，大きな座標系において考える習慣を身につけることを目指します。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
In this course, students will not simply memorize the events of the past, but will learn the academic procedures for re-creating the human past from historical documents, and the historical thinking that considers why the events occurred and what they meant. Through this learning, students will acquire the habit of relativizing the world and the era in which they live, and considering them in a wider frame of reference.

高等学校日本史教科書程度の基礎的知識について理解しておくことが望まれる。
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
初回の課題40％、期末課題60％ 。唐との比較を通じて、日本の古代国家、社会の特質について理解しているかどうかを合否の基準とする。
履修取り下げ制度を利用する。履修取り下げの際に申し出を必要としない。期末課題を提出しない場合、「Ｗ」とする。
