Goals of the Course [JPN] | | | 単に過去の出来事を叙述するのが歴史学ではありません。たしかに歴史学は史料（おもに文献史料）を材料とし，厳密な史料批判や考証を行うことによって人類の過去の足跡，人間という存在の多様性を明らかにしようとします。しかし，同時にそれを通じて自分の生きている時代と世界を相対化し，客観的に見る習慣を身につけることも歴史研究の大きな目的の一つです。その意味で歴史学は激動の現代に生きる人間に必須の教養といえるでしょう。 |

Goals of the Course [ENG] | | | Study of history is beyond just describing past events. It is true that history has been studied using historical records (mainly historical documents) as materials, and we have tried to clarify the past footprints of mankind and the diversity of the existence of human beings by conducting rigorous criticisms and examinations of historical records. At the same time, it is also one of the most important goals to study history to get into the habit of relativizing the times and the world in which we live and looking objectively through it. In this meaning, study of history is an essential education for us who survive this turbulent modern times. |

Objectives of the Course [JPN] | | | 中国の歴史において漢族（漢民族）以外の民族がはたした役割、またそれが漢族の形成に与えた影響について考察します。一般に、中国史は漢族のたてた統一王朝の歴史であり、それ以外は周辺異民族、統一の阻害要因としてのみとらえられがちですが、実際にはそれら数多くの民族の相互作用こそが中国史を形作っているのであり、現在の漢族もその中から生まれてきた存在であるといえます。そのような中国史上における諸民族の相互作用について検討し、そこから現在の中国における民族問題を考える手がかりを得ることを目標とします。 |

Objectives of the Course [ENG] | | | In this class, we will discuss the role played by non-Han ethnic groups in the history of China, and the influence they had on the formation of the Chinese (Han ethnic group). In general, the history of China is the history of the central dynasties established by the Han, and the other ethnic groups tend to be regarded only as peripheral ethnic groups and obstacles to unification. In fact, however, it is the interaction of these many ethnic groups that has shaped Chinese history, and it can be said that the current Han race was born out of this interaction. The goal of this course is to examine the interaction of these ethnic groups in Chinese history, and to obtain clues for thinking about the ethnic problems in China today. |

Course Content or Plan | | 以下のよううな章立てで講義を行う予定です。
1. はじめに（多民族国家・中国）
2. 秦漢帝国と匈奴帝国
3. 「五胡十六国」と漢民族の変貌
4. 隋唐「世界」帝国の形成
5. 漢民族の南進と南方諸民族～南方民族の漢文化受容
6. 唐の衰亡とテュルク族の躍進～遊牧国家から牧農複合国家へ
7. モンゴルの時代とモンゴル以後
8. 「少数民族化」する漢族
＊上記のそれぞれの内容につき、それぞれ1～2回の講義をおこないます。 |

履修条件・関連する科目
Course Prerequisites and Related Courses | | | 世界史（アジアの前近代史）に関心があること。中国史の基本的な知識があることが望ましいが、未履修者にも配慮して講義中に説明を加える予定です。 |

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | 授業の各セクションの終了後におこなう小テスト（1学期に5〜6回程度を予定）（合計20％）、および学年末試験またはレポート試験（受講生の人数等に基づいて決定します。試験とレポートを選択できるわけではありません）（80％）により評価します。
履修取下げの際は申し出が必要。申し出がなく期末試験未受験（レポート試験未提出）の場合、評価は「Ｆ」とします。 |
