Goals of the Course [JPN]
我々の住む地球がどのような変遷を経て現在に至ったのかを理解することを目的とします。地表の地質構造や全地球スケールでのプレート運動など，現在の地球で起こっている様々な現象を解説します。さらに地球史における地殻，海洋及び大気の発達プロセス，そしてこれらと密接な関係をもつ生物圏の変遷について解説します。また，過去の地球環境の変遷に基づき，人間圏との関わりから地球環境の未来についても考えます。

Goals of the Course [ENG]
The goal of this course is to understand how the Earth we live on has changed over the years to the present. The geological structure of the earth's surface, plate movements on a global scale, and various other phenomena occurring on the earth today will be explained. In addition, the developmental processes of the Earth's crust, oceans and atmosphere, and the evolution of the biosphere, which are closely related to these processes, will be explained. We will also consider the future of the global environment in relation to the anthroposphere based on past changes in the global environment.

地球の形成と歴史を俯瞰し、地球内部から表層の構造・構成物質、地震、火山といった地球で起こる現象について理解することにより、我々の生活場としての地球を理解する能力を養う。

The course aims to understand the Earth as our living place by examining its formation and history, the structure and composition from the deep to the surface, and the phenomena that occur on Earth, such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

授業では、必要な図表などをプリントして配布し、それに基づいて講義する。

成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
毎回、小テストあるいは小レポートを課す。小テスト、小レポートの結果により、成績評価を行う。
履修取り下げの際は申し出る。申し出がなく授業の欠席、小テスト、小レポートの未提出が続く場合、成績判定は「F」とする。

Message from the Instructor
The goal of the course is to help students acquire an understanding the basic principles of the solar system and the earth and develop their view of the earth. At the end of the course, students are expected to explain the formation processes of the universe and the solar system, and then to explain the structure of the earth from the deep to the surface. The students will also learn about the climate, earthquakes, volcanoes, and geosciences around us, as well as disaster mitigation.
