授業の目的 【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN) | | | 本科目は、ポスト標準語化における日本語にみられる言語事象をバリエーション研究の立場から考察し、日本語の現在の立ち位置を示すことを目的とする。日本語は地域的・社会的・文体的な変異が豊富であり、方言学や歴史言語学、日本語史、社会言語学などの分野で研究が進められてきた。また、日本の近代化の象徴でもあった「標準語」の制定とその普及により、日本語バリエーションには大きな変化がもたらされた。本講義では、標準語化が普及した現在、日本語を取り巻く新たな変化が生じていることを踏まえる。日本語の先端的現象を取り上げ、日本語にみられる新たな言語変化の社会的意義を受講生らとともに考えていく。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course | | | This course examines sociolinguistic phenomena observed in Japanese in the post-standardization era from the perspective of language variation and cahnge studies, with the aim of situating contemporary Japanese. Japanese displays rich regional, social, and stylistic variation, and has been studied in fields such as dialectology, historical linguistics, Japanese language history, and sociolinguistics. The establishment of “Standard Japanese,” a symbol of Japan’s modernization, and its subsequent spread brought about major changes in Japanese variation. Building on this background, the course considers the new changes that have emerged in Japanese in the present, after standardization has become widespread. Focusing on cutting-edge phenomena, students will explore together the social significance of ongoing linguistic change in Japanese. |
