Goals of the Course(JPN)
本授業の目的は、20世紀初頭から後半頃までのアメリカ文学の概要を把握することである。主要作家と作品及びその時代背景について学ぶ。また、概要だけでなく、個別の作品を精読する手法にも親しむ。

The objective of this course is to gain an overview of American literature of the 20th century. Additionally, students will become familiar with close reading individual works.

２）主要作家と作品及びその時代背景に関する基礎的な知識を習得すること。
３）精読を通して個別作品の基礎的な読解能力を習得すること。

第２回以降の各回において、20世紀のアメリカ文学における主要作家の作品を読解しつつ、重要な概念や事項について講義・発表・ディスカッション等を通して理解を深めていく。

特にないが、英語で書かれた文学作品を辞書を引きながら読むことができる程度の英語力が求められる。
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
・授業点80％
・・・レポート50％
・・・授業への参加度 30%
・期末試験20％。

＊期末試験の受験は単位取得に必須。
＊欠席３回で評価が下がり、欠席４回以上で不可となる。遅刻3回で欠席1回分とみなす。30分以上の遅刻は欠席扱いとする。
