授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | | This course explores the ways in which poverty shapes human behavior, cognitive function, and emotional well-being. 授業の内容や構成 Course Content / Plan | | Day 1 State of poverty in the United States: We will discuss the state of poverty in the United States, focusing on its causes and outcomes.
Day 2 The outcome of poverty: We will look at how poverty effects individuals, particularly children. We shall address how poverty shapes human behavior, cognitive function, and emotional well-being. We will discuss the cognitive load of poverty, the effects on childhood development, the role of chronic stress and trauma, and the intersection of poverty with social inequality.
Day 3 Mitigating the effects of poverty: We will focus on resilience and coping strategies, as well as the importance of policy and community-based interventions to mitigate the psychological effects of poverty. |
