Goals of the Course
The objective of this seminar is to grasp social and economic problems in Japan and to work to solve them by applying the knowledge of economics to the present macroeconomic circumstance and the state of public finance. For this objective, students develop their ability to conduct an analysis for macroeconomics and public finance and to prepare a report and to give a telling presentation. The research is executed by groups of a few students.

Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
Grades are evaluated based on the research of the group to which the student belongs and their contribution to the exercise. A decision on passing is based on the following points. Please note that the course withdrawal system will not be adopted.
(1) Whether the research of the group to which the student belongs has reached the above goals.
(2) Whether you actively have given presentations and discussions.
