Goals of the Course
The objective of this seminar is to grasp social and economic problems in Japan and to work to solve them by applying the knowledge of economics to the present macroeconomic circumstance and the state of public finance. For this objective, students develop their ability to conduct an analysis for macroeconomics and public finance and to write a thesis and to give a telling presentation. By extending the group work done in Economic Seminar I and II into a private research, students can make rational and practical decisions subjectively.

Course Prerequisites and Related Courses
Based on the regulations of the Faculty of Economics, Nagoya University. In principle, only those who have completed Seminar I and II in Economics approved by the selection process and who have acquired the prescribed number of credits are eligible to take the course.
成績評価の方法と基準
Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
Grades are evaluated based on students' research and contributions to the exercises. We will make a decision on passing based on the following points. Please note that the course withdrawal system will not be adopted.
(1) Whether the student's research has reached the above goals.
(2) Whether the student has actively given presentations and discussions.
