This seminar takes up current concepts, methods, and debates in screen studies and critically and/or speculatively discuss their potentials. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | 各学期、次の区分のどれかの範疇にある先端領域・研究動向を選択する
（１）映像学・映画研究における間メディア性（ドキュメンタリー、フィクション論、サウンド理論など）
（２）映像学・映画研究と「比較」の問題（コスモポリタニズム、翻訳、ワールドシネマなど）
（３）映像学・映画研究のアプローチ（アーカイブ研究など）
英語・日本語の双方を使って議論を行う授業です（不安がある場合は教員に事前確認してください）。
構成
毎週課題文献の読解
Each semester, we will select the seminar theme from the following broad categories:
(1) Screen Studies and Intermedia (e.g., documentary, fiction, and sound studies in expanded fields)
(2) Screen Studies and Comparative Approaches (e.g., cosmopolitanism, translation, World Cinema)
(3) New Approaches in Screen Studies (e.g., Archiveology )
This course uses both English and Japanese for in-class discussions. Please consult the instructor ahead of time for concerns regarding the language use. |
