授業の目的 【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN) | | | 本授業は、青少年のスマートフォン利用の実態とその社会的・心理的影響について理解を深めることを目的とする。SNS依存、情報過多、アルゴリズムの影響などの問題を学ぶとともに、スマホデトックスの実践例や各国におけるソーシャルメディア規制の動向を検討する。理論と事例分析を通して、デジタル社会における健全なメディア利用のあり方について主体的に考察する力を養う。 |

Goals of the Course | | | This course aims to deepen students’ understanding of adolescents’ smartphone use and its social and psychological impacts. Students will explore issues such as social media dependency, information overload, and algorithmic influence, while also examining practices of smartphone detox and current social media regulations in different countries. Through theoretical discussion and case studies, the course encourages students to critically reflect on healthy and responsible media use in a digital society. |

毎週テーマについて発表を行うメインのPresenterとディスカッサント(Discussant)を1‐2名を決め、研究問題について研究・学習する方式です。

履修条件・関連する科目
Course Prerequisites and Related Courses | | (1)本授業は日本語で行う。日本語の関連文献の読解・理解・ディスカッションに参加し、本授業を十分に活用するためには、上級レベルの日本語能力を有していることが望ましい。
★ The class will be conducted in Japanese. Students are expected to be advanced Japanese learners who are able to read academic texts, understand them, and actively participate in discussions.
(2)授業自体は日本語で行うが、英語で書かれた資料も扱うため、英語論文や資料を読解・理解する能力が必要である。
(3)後期科目「メディア文化社会論」と内容的に連動しているため、あわせて履修することを推奨する。ただし、必修ではない。
(4)本授業で扱うソーシャル・メディア、YouTube、Abemaなど、ネットを通じたコミュニケーション・ツールおよびそれらの社会的・文化的相互作用に強い関心を持つ学生であれば、積極的に取り組める内容である。 |

Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | プリゼンターとしての発表(50％)、ディスカッサントとしての参加・貢献(30％)、出席・宿題・オンライン・ディスカッションへの参加(20%)
50% Presentation as a Presenter
Your participation grade is based on your demonstrated engagement with the course materials, your classmates, and me.
30% In-Class Participation and Contribution
You are expected to complete the assigned readings before class and come prepared to discuss them. Be ready to answer questions, volunteer opinions, and find textual evidence to support your point.
20% Assignments, attendance
We will be using the course blog to discuss both the course readings and contemporary debates over technology and culture. You are responsible for answering at least one of the discussion questions posted each week.
A score of 60 or more considered acceptable. |
