授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | | Students will learn strategies and techniques for managing service and manufacturing operations. The course introduces various quantitative methods and business applications, including aggregate planning, MRP and ERP systems, inventory management, JIT and lean operations, scheduling, project management, and the management of waiting lines. |

到達目標 【日本語】 Objectives of the Course(JPN) | | 本講義終了時に、学生は以下を達成できるようになる。
1. 集約生産計画の概念と、オペレーション管理における役割を説明できる。
2. MRP、MRP II、およびERPシステムとその利点を説明できる。
3. 基本的な在庫モデルを理解し、典型的な在庫問題を解くことができる。
4. リーンオペレーションおよびJIT(ジャストインタイム)の原理を説明できる。
5. スケジューリングの概念と効果的なスケジューリングの重要性を説明できる。
6. プロジェクト管理におけるPERT/CPMの基礎を理解できる。
7. 待ち行列問題の基本的な概念を理解できる。
After completing this course, students will be able to:
1. Explain the concept of aggregate planning and its role in operations management.
2. Describe MRP, MRP II, and ERP systems and their benefits.
3. Understand basic inventory models and solve standard inventory-related problems.
4. Explain the principles of lean operations and Just-in-Time (JIT).
5. Describe scheduling concepts and the importance of effective scheduling.
6. Understand the fundamentals of PERT/CPM in project management.
7. Understand basic concepts of waiting line (queueing) problems. |

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | [Course evaluation]
Exams – 70%
Three exams will be held during the semester, and each exam will be equally weighted.
Assignments – 30%
A homework assignment will be given every week. Each assignment has a specified due date. Late submissions will be accepted with a penalty of a 10% deduction per day (per 24-hour period).

To pass this course, you must receive a C- or higher grade. The grading schema is the following:
